Ashley R. King
For many years Ashley had managed and waitressed at The Dairy Breeze Family Restaurant in Henderson, Arkansas. In 2010 she left Arkansas and moved to Northern Michigan to help care for her father and her grandmother. Ashley was a patron of the arts and enjoyed writing short stories, poetry, and songs. She loved watching movies and listening to music.
Ashley is survived by one son, Corey Emerson, of Mountain Home, AR; her mother, Alice King, of Alpena, AR; sisters, Tonya King of Mountain Home, AR and Kandi Mulka of Waterford, MI; brother, Brian King, of Waterford, MI; grandmother, Orphia Cradit, of Onaway, MI; former husband, Klark Emerson; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Harry Emerson; and brother-in-law, Kirk Emerson, all of Henderson, AR; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ashley was preceded in death by her father, John “Jack” King on March 8, 2011 and her grandmother, “Nanny”.
Ashley’s family had a private family gathering in Onaway and a memorial service will be held in Mountain Home, AR at a later date. Donations in memory of Ashley should be given to her family to help with expenses.
