Doyle Buckner, age 73 of Onaway, died December 16, 2006 at his home. Doyle was born in Farmington on May 1, 1933 to Robert and Ethel (Wilson) Buckner. He moved to the Onaway area from Tuscola County in 1969. Doyle worked construction as a brick layer and was a member of the Handyman Club. He enjoyed huting, fishing, and reading magazines, especially the Reader's Digest. Doyle will be sadly missed by his daughter, Kelly (Ronald) Shappell of Flint; son, Doyle O. (Melody) Buckner of Onaway; step-son, James Edward (Barbara) Cain of Flint; and grandchildren, Mary, Robert, Franklin, Cheyanne, Aaron, Amanda, Amy, Linda, James, Thomas, Christopher, Kyle, Jonathan, and Danyell. He will also be missed by his brother, Luther Buckner of Farmington; sisters, Edna Mae Taskey of Farmington; Virdy Buckner of Farmington and Betty Stanford of Farmington; and many nieces and nephews. Doyle was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl and George; sister, Doris; and grandson, Calvin. |
