Obituaries

Goldie Marie Buzzell, age 88 of Clarkston, formerly of Onaway and Rogers City, died May 30, 2006 at the Clarkston Specialty Healthcare Center. Goldie was born in Tower on June 12, 1917 to Leonard and Annabelle Johnson. On November 8, 1934 she was married to Gordon Buzzell in Bellaire. Goldie was born and raised in the Onaway area. She was a homemaker and moved away with her husband in 1940. In 1971 they returned to Onaway where they lived until 1981 when they moved to Rogers City. Goldie remained in Rogers City until 2004 when she moved to Clarkston. Before her move, Goldie was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah Witness in Rogers City. She was a wonderful old fashioned homemaker. She grew her own vegetables and fruit, cooked, baked, and sewed clothing for her family. Her pantry selves were always full of jars and jars of food she had canned. Goldie will be sadly missed by her daughters, Ina Lorenz of Rogers City; Betty (Wayne) Deighton of Marion; Barbara (Guy) Passmore of Clarkston; Connie (Dennis) Racine of Grand Blanc and Sandra (James) Isaacs of Waterford; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 11 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon (1985); infant son, Alvin Buzzell; daughters, Beverly Tulgetske and Lois Albright; and 11 brothers and sisters.
