James "Jim" Andrew Byrley, age 50 of Onaway, died February 5, 2006 at his home. Jim was born in Hammond, Indiana on March 16, 2006 to James and Mary Anne (Berwanger) Byrley. On May 16, 1991 he was married to Marcy LaFave in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jim moved to Onaway in 1991 from Calumet City, Indiana and worked as a salesman at Office Max in Petoskey. He was an active member of the Onaway Baptist Chapel where he had served as church treasurer, clerk, and Sunday school teacher. Jim enjoyed being on the computer, reading, and collecting books. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughter, Elyzabeth, who was very dear to him. Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Marcy of Onaway; daughters, Sarah Blanshan of Onaway and Kristina (Edward) Caston of Onaway; granddaughter, Elyzabeth Caston of Onaway; father, James (Jan) Byrley of Indiana; in-laws, Leonard (Twila) LaFave of Onaway; half sister, Gina Pear of Indiana; half brother, James Byrley of Indiana; step brother, Daniel Crumm of Tennessee; and aunt, Joanie Berwanger. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Anne; aunt and uncle, Lois and John Fogarty; and uncle, Jim Berwanger. |
