Gerald H. Carper, age 56 of Millersburg, died August 12, 2006 at his home. Gerald was born in Gladwin on March 16, 1950 to Harold and Gladys (Demaray) Carper. On June 19, 1970 he was married to Marlene Wilson. Gerald worked as a journeyman plumber, a highline worker with Northern Great Lakes Electric and also for the U.S. Postal Service for 12 years. He is a U.S. Armed Forces veteran of the Vietnam War. Gerald enjoyed watching western movies and Saturday night poker games. His true love however, was woodworking, fishing, and his grandchildren. Gerald will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 36 years, Marlene of Millersburg; daughter, Cindy (Lony) Metty of Millersburg; son, Mark (Angelique) Carper of Millersburg; and 5 granddaughters, Ashton; Serena; Alexia; Kayla and Gabrielle. He will also be missed by his sisters, Carolyn (Al) Sayward of Mt. Clemens and Karen Hamilton of Baldwin. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna; and brother, David. |
