Obituaries

Kenneth Leroy DeRosia, age 76 of Long Lake (Cheboygan), died October 8, 2006 after a short fight with cancer at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. Kenneth was born in Millersburg, Michigan on January 16, 1930 to L.V. and Lillian (St. Clair) DeRosia. On June 5, 1948 he was married to Lillian Harrison at the RLDS Church in Onaway, Michigan. Kenneth was born and raised in Millersburg, moved to the Lansing area to work as a foreman for General Motors Fisher Body, and then returned back to Northern Michigan after retirement in 1987. Mr. DeRosia was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Cheboygan for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, hunting and fishing. Kenneth was also a licensed pilot, who loved to fly, as well as a charter boat captain. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Lillian of Long Lake; sons, Kenneth (Kathy Milbocker) DeRosia Jr. of Long Lake, Roger (Linda) DeRosia of Charlotte, Doug (Vicky) DeRosia of Charlotte, and Bruce (Patty) DeRosia of DeWitt; 10 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Kenneth will also be missed by his brother, Carl (Helen) DeRosia of St. Cloud, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pauline Wilkins; grandsons, Scott DeRosia and Joshua DeRosia.
