Sandra Sue DeYoung, age 64 of Onaway, died March 15, 2006 at her home. Sandy was born in Onaway on November 21, 1941 to Ernest and Esther (Porter) Hall. On January 22, 1986 she was married to Ronnie DeYoung in Onaway. Sandy lived most of her life in the Flint area and moved to Onaway about 20 years ago. After moving to Onaway, she was hired at the Onaway High School where she worked as a bookkeeper until she retired in 2000. Sandy was always willing to help others. She found enjoyment in gardening, watching birds, hunting, and dancing. She also liked canning and reading. Sandy will be sadly missed by her husband, Ron of Onaway; daughters, Rea (Mick) Mason of Onaway; Lorrie (Rick) Kowalski of Onaway and Tracie (Ron) Buczkowski of Onaway; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and mother, Esther Hall of Onaway. She will also be missed by sisters, Judy Rutherford of Grand Blanc; Pamela (Donald) Tuttle of Onaway and Dawn (Tim) Peariso of Grand Blanc; brother, Ernest "Butch" (Linda) Hall Jr. of Tower; mother-in-law, Opal Adkins of Onaway; father-in-law, Jay DeYoung of Arizona; and step-daughters, Shelby (Jeff) Price of Onaway and Jerri Lynn (Todd) Nadherny of Springfield, Missouri. Sandy was preceded in death by her father Ernie Hall (2005). |
