Donald "Bud" LaBeau, age 48 of Onaway, died July 11, 2006 at the Hospice House of Cheboygan. Bud was born in Flint on May 4, 1958 to Ervin "Bud" LaBeau and Kay Erbaugh McGovern. On April 22, 2006 he was married to Vicki Matts in Indian River. Bud graduated in 1976 from Onaway High School. He left the area to work and then returned in 2003 from St. Clair Shores. Most of Bud's career was spent in management. He worked for D.C.T. Robotic Welding and American Interiors. When he returned to the Onaway area he worked in Indian River at Cooperation Park as a groundskeeper. Bud was a member of the Eagles of St. Clair Shores and enjoyed the outdoors. He also liked to hunt, fish, golf, and going for walks. Bud will be sadly missed by his wife, Vicki of Onaway; mother, Kay (Pat) McGovern of Cheboygan; father, Bud LaBeau of Sterling; brothers, Doug (Sally) LaBeau of Florida; Norm LaBeau of Standish and Mark (Nicole) McClure of Onaway; sisters, Diane (Mike O'Brien) Aube of West Branch and Debra Lemanski of Sterling. He will also be missed by his nephews, Cody McClure of Onaway and Tom (Jody) Cox of Paw Paw; nieces, Sundee LaLonde of Onaway and Sandra (Todd) Brenner of Millersburg; and many great nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Cox and step-father, Mike McClure. |
