Paul J. Lehnert, age 63 of Tower and Cape Girardeau, Missouri, died February 7, 2006 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Paul was born in Wayne County on March 2, 1942 to A. Paul and Helen (Fisher) Lehnert. On August 28, 1971 he was married to Glenda Brady at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Onaway. Paul lived in the Onaway area since 1967. He worked as an electrician for Proctor and Gamble in Cheboygan until 1990 when he was transferred to Cape Girardeau where he worked until his retirement in 1997. Paul and Glenda moved back to the area in 2002 where they spent their summers on Tower Pond and their winters traveling. Paul was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Onaway, the Men's Club, Knights of Columbus, and was a volunteer firefighter for Forest-Waverly and East Cape County Fire Departments. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Paul also enjoyed duck hunting, reading (especially science-fiction), solving crossword puzzles, and traveling. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Glenda of Tower and Cape Girardeau, Missouri; daughters, Missy (Skip) Williams of Lake Ann; Liana Lehnert of Mapleton and Traci Johnson of Lake Ann; and grandchildren, Tristan Johnson; Michaela and Jocob Williams. Paul will also be missed by his brother, Louis (Loan) Lehnert of San Jose, California; sisters, Kathy Lehnert of Dearborn and Marianne (Ken) Sadek of Westland; brother-in-laws, Robert (Connie) Brady of Tower and Greg (Candy) Brady of Odessa, Texas; sister-in-laws, Vana Dempsey of Gaylord; Renee (Larry) Niemi of Brighton and Val (Paul) Stephens of Howell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. |
