Margaret Madeline MacGregor, age 77 of Onaway, died March 21, 2006 at Tendercare of Cheboygan. Margaret was born in Cheboygan County on May 23, 1928 to Simon and Sadie (Hart) Church. On August 23, 1948 she was married to Gilbert MacGregor in Onaway. Margaret was a lifelong resident of the area and a long time member of the Better Aquaintance Club and the Farm Bureau. She was a homemaker and also helped her husband run their dairy farm. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Being on a farm she had very little time for hobbies, but she did enjoy babysitting her grandchildren, cooking, and canning. Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughters, Barbara Jean (Larry) Spiece of Waterford and Shirley Rae (Eric) Madden of Onaway; son, Robert Roy MacGregor of Onaway; grandchildren, Stacy Joyner; Darren Spiece; Joel, Nicole, and Kirk Madden; Robert, Andrew, Samantha, Sarah, and Hunter MacGregor; and great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jacob Joyner; Shaughn, Bethany, and Collin MacGregor. She will also be missed by her sisters, Madeline Morgan of Onaway; Jenny MacGregor of Onaway and Marge Hinson of Onaway; and brothers, Albert Church of Hamilton; Frank Church of Hamilton and Jim Church of Onaway. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert (2002); and brothers, Orville, William, and George Church. |
