John Cesar McKenzie, age 71 of Onaway, died December 1, 2006 at the Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. John was born in Miami Beach, Florida on March 11, 1935 to Roy and Marie (Amiel) McKenzie. On December 4, 1973 he was married to Janet A. Couture in Bay City. John moved to Onaway from Madison Heights in 1969 and started Mckenzie Tree Service. He enjoyed working, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, and building/tinkering with just about anything. John will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 33 years, Janet McKenzie of Onaway; daughters, Renee (David) Havel of Onaway; Kateri (Bill) Stiles of Onaway; Kelly (John) Blaskowski of Levering; Peggy (Jerry) Able of St. Clair Shores; Tina Szczesniak of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; Pauline Pickering of Ferndale and Tina Walters of Warren; son, John (Misty) McKenzie of Onaway; and many grandchildren. He will also be missed by his brothers, Jerry (Betsy) McKenzie of Madison Heights and Tom (Mary Lou) McKenzie of Port Huron; and sister, Rita (Jerry) Andrus of New York. John was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rose; and a sister. |
