Mary Josephine Morell, age 55 of Onaway, died August 26, 2006 at the Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. Mary Jo was born in Wayne on March 15, 1951 to Alfred and Juanita (Searls) Wass. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards, shopping, crocheting, watching movies, going to the casino, bingo, and the races. She also loved singing and spending time with her family. Mary Jo will be sadly missed by her loving companion, Vinson Dailey of Onaway; daughters, Michele Martin of Onaway and Tina (Adam) Heinze of Cheboygan; son, Keith Wass; and 8 grandchildren, Kyra Martin; Alysia Martin; Trevor Chapman; Tyler Wass; Hailey Wass; Aaron Areia; A.J. Heinze and Caela Zischke. She will also be missed by her brother, Frank Wass of Wayne; and sisters, Val (Les) Wass of Onaway; Alice (Tim) Trader of Westland and Karen (Fred) Garms of Detroit. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tracy Wass; brothers, Thomas Wass; Alfred Wass and Edward "Buzz" Wass; and grandson, Matthew Heinze. |
