Obituaries

Olive Mae Peterman, age  77 of Onaway, died February 18, 2006 at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. Olive was born in Chesaning on October 31, 1928 to Stanley and Rosalind (Leopard) Thomas. On June 10, 1946 she was married to Cecil Peterman in Onaway. Olive previously resided in Alpena, but has lived in Onaway for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Post 5857 Ladies Auxiliary. Olive loved to go camping. She also enjoyed knitting, solving crossword puzzles, attending fiddler jamborees and spending time with her family and friends. Olive will be sadly missed by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Cecil of Onaway; sons, Michael Peterman of Onaway; Carl (Leona) Peterman of Onaway; Jeffery (Jenny) Peterman of Sault Ste. Marie; William Peterman of Onaway; Walter (Tracy) Peterman of Onaway and Ronald (Patricia) Peterman of Onaway; daughters, Darcie (Larry) Koronka of Linden and Rose (Scott) MacGregor of Onaway; 23 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Fred Thomas of Chesaning; and sisters, Loretta Abbott of Kalkaska and Nadine Anderson of Fife Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Marvin; brother, Bill Schroeder; and sister, Millie Dankert.
