Laura Robinson, age 87 of Lake Orion, formerly of Onaway, died November 25, 2006 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. Laura was born in Delta County, Michigan on December 17, 1918 to William and Angeline (Rocheford) Robere. On November 28, 1936 she married Harold J. Robinson in Cheboygan, Michigan. Laura was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, Davison Post, and the Moose Lodge of Manistique, Michigan. She moved away from the Onaway area in 1952 and spent most of her life in the Pontiac area. Laura enjoyed quilting, knitting, fishing in Florida and a good euchre game. She was an excellent cook and loved having big family dinners on the weekends. She also enjoyed gardening and canning. Laura will be sadly missed by her sons, Harold (Sharon) Robinson Jr. of Waterford and Richard (Karen) Robinson of Lake Orion; daughter, JoAnn (Bill) Dyer of Key Largo, Florida; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brothers, George (Elaine) Robere of Cooks, Herman (Ellen) Robere of Garden, and Bill (Genevieve) Robere of Manistique; sisters, Nancy Dollager of Garden, Freda Ridge of Burton, and Evon Perry of Burton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (1984); daughter, Peggy Lee Robinson; son, Kenneth E. Robinson; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers. |
