Teddy M. Stumpf, age 77 of Onaway, died April 7, 2006 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Teddy was born in Troy on April 11, 1928 to Martin and Helen (Williams) Stumpf. On February 21, 1948 he was married to Sharon Magee in Royal Oak. Teddy was a truck driver and lived in Troy until 1985 when he and his wife moved to Onaway. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Onaway VFW Post 5857. Teddy loved to fish and also enjoyed helping with the annual Fourth of July chicken barbecue at the VFW in Onaway. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Helen Stumpf of Millersburg; son, Martin Stumpf of Rochester Hills; brother, Thomas (Mary) Stumpf of California; and sister, Sally (Emil) Claeys of Georgia. Teddy was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Sharon (1991). |
