Obituaries

Dorothy Marie Badgero, age 77 of Onaway, formerly of Ferndale, died October 6, 2007 at her home. Dorothy was born in Ferndale on June 25, 1930 to Bernie and Freda (Zimmer) Bauman. On December 6, 1975 she married Ted Badgero at the United Methodist Church in Onaway. Dorothy worked as the head cashier for Packer's Supermarket until 1972 when she moved to Onaway and began working as the head cashier at B&C Grocery until her retirement in 1975. Dorothy attended church at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Onaway. She enjoyed knitting and sewing, but most of all loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 32 years, Ted Badgero of Onaway; daughters, Freda (Dan) Dougherty and Jackie (Dave) Kolasa both of Onaway and Cindy (Mike) Kramer of Lachine; step-daughters, Bonnie (Terry) Materna and Jean (Dale) Robinson both of Onaway; step-son, Jeff (Carol) Badgero of Kalkaska; 15 grandchildren;
24 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernie Bauman and Freda Bauman-Carlson; brothers, Harold "Sonny" and Andrew Bauman; and step-son, Tim Badgero.
