Arlie Campbell, age 83 of Millersburg died May 3, 2007 at his home. Arlie was born in Elk Creek, Kentucky on April 20, 1924 to Theodore Roosevelt and Bessie Belle (Wilson) Campbell. On April 5, 1947 he was married to Margaret M. Phipps in Toledo, Ohio. Arlie worked as a foreman for Rockford Chain in Warren. In 1989 he retired and moved to Millersburg. Arlie served in the Pacific for the US Navy during WWII from 1943-1945 as a Navy cook. He was a member and commander of the Millersburg VFW Post 8751 and a veteran of the US Navy. Arlie loved to cook. He also enjoyed baking, hunting, fishing, and carpentry. Arlie will be sadly missed by his brothers, Archie (Carolyn) Campbell of Romulus and Desker (Charlotte) Campbell of Peachtree City, Georgia; sister, Iona (Curt) Royce of Daytona, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Eugene Crabtree of Novi. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret (June, 2004); sister, Naomi Crabtree; and brothers, Dennis and Clyde Campbell. |
