William "Bill" Russell Chenowith, age 69 of Onaway died March 16, 2007 at his home. Bill was born in Cumberland, Maryland on March 4, 1938 to William Thomas and Lillian (Campbell) Chenowith. On May 10, 1988 he was married to Nancy Shaw Woods in Toledo, Ohio. Bill worked as a pipe fitter for Ford Motor Company in Wixom where he retired from in 2003. He moved permanently to Onaway from Fenton after his retirement. Bill was a member of UAW Local 36 and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Nancy of Black Lake; sons, Brook (Kara) Chenowith of White Lake and Chris McLeod of South Lyon; daughter, Kim Debord of South Lyon; step-sons, Raymond (Karen) Woods of Hamburg and Robert (Gloria) Woods of Clarkston; step-daughters, Randy (Terry) Bruce of Clarkston and Renee' (Bill) Castonugay of Evansville, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Briar and Dustin Chenowith; Jason and Tarren Bruce; Lauren, Alex and Daniel Woods; Robert, Richard and Holly Woods; Joshua, Hunter and Heather Castonugay and Jamie McKee; and sister Janet MacAinsh of Pinckney. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marlene; and son, Billy McLeod. |
