Obituaries

Lillian Doris Domke, age 85 of Traverse City, formerly of Millersburg, died August 31, 2007 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Lillian was born in Ossineke on June 5, 1922 to Edward and Bertha (Bartz) Bey. On October 18, 1941 she was married to Albert A. Domke at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ossineke. After marriage, she and Albert moved to Millersburg where they resided until 2006. Lillian worked as a homemaker and a farmer.  She also worked at the Garment Factory in Onaway and as a teacher's aid at the Millersburg Elementary School. Lillian was a member of the Ladies Aid Society, Farm Bureau and Home Economics Club, and the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ocqueoc were she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, gardening, singing and listening to music, traveling and journaling her travels. Lillian will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 66 years, Albert of Traverse City, formerly of Millersburg; son, Albert (Carol) Domke of Minnesota; daughter, Carol (Larry) Williams of Traverse City; grandchildren, Timothy (Lynn), Troy (Karen) and
Todd Domke, and Christine and Kathleen Williams; great grandchildren, Zachary, Emerson and Rhiannon Domke and Kiely Maddasion; brother,  Louis (Laura) Bey of Ossineke; sister, Emma (Vern) Mead of Portland, Oregon; and sister-in-law, Hazel Bey of Ossineke. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Dahlke and Helen Kihn; and brother, Arthur Bey.
