Clarrissa Margaret (Riley) Fitzpatrick, age 85 of Onaway, died December 6, 2007 at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. Clarrissa was born in North Allis Twp. on April 17, 1922 to George and Bessie (Simmons) Riley. On November 22, 1941 she was married to Russell H. Fitzpatrick in Onaway. Clarrissa lived in the Onaway area most of her life. She worked at AC Spark Plug in Flint from 1951 until her retirement in 1980 when she returned home to live in Onaway. Clarrissa was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5857 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, especially Spitzer, going for rides in the woods, and birdwatching. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Clarrissa will be sadly missed by her daughter, Faith Chagnon of Onaway; sons, Barry (Susan) Fitzpatrick of Onaway and Terry (Vicky) Fitzpatrick of Cheboygan; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister-in-law, Jean Chapman of Onaway; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Russ (March 1996); sister, Dethel Hitchcock; son-in-law, Patrick Chagnon; and granddaughter, Tina Chagnon. |
