Violet May Piersall, age 87 of Onaway, died January 1, 2007 at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. Violet was born in Saginaw on May 20, 1919 to Franklin and Lytia (Bloom) Spear. In 1938 she was married to John Nowaczyk and enjoyed her life with him until his death in 1960. Violet worked as a waitress and also delivered newspapers. In 1979 she married Jack Piersall. Violet moved to Onaway from Skidway Lake in 1990. She enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, reading, and watching her favorite television shows, including WWF wrestling. Violet will be sadly missed by her daughters, Gerry (Marvin) Lolmaugh of Tower and Darlene (Ed) Greenwood of Skidway Lake; 11 grandchildren, including granddaughters, Kim Jacobs of New Jersey and Debbie Aldridge of Buckley; and grandson, Eddie (Florence) Nowaczyk of Prescott; many great grandchildren, including great granddaughters, Lynsy and Krystin Jacobs of New Jersey; and a sister in California. She was preceded in death by husband, John Nowaczyk (1960); husband, Jack Piersall (1980); daughter, Sharon Hetherington (2004); and brother Bud Spear. |
