Norman Francis Shack, age 88 of Black Lake, died January 3, 2007 at Golden Beach Manor on Lake Huron. Norman was born in Flint on October 2, 1918 to George and Blanche (Koniezcka) Shack. On October 11, 1941 he was married to Hazel Wilson in Flint. Norman served in the Army during WWII as a Motor Pool Sgt. in Europe. After the Army, Norman worked as a mechanic for Buick Motors in Flint. In 1974, Norman and Hazel moved to Black Lake from Flushing. He will be sadly missed by his son, Wade (Laura) Shack of Onaway; granddaughter, Kristin (Lee) VanHouten Jr. of Onaway; and great grandsons, Cody and Zachery VanHouten both of Onaway. Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel (2001); and many siblings. |
