Alice Louisa Willett, age 89 of Onaway, died Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Hospice House of Cheboygan. Alice was born in Allis Township on August 23, 1917 to George and Minnie (Hartshorn) Baker. On December 26, 1948 she was married to Frank Willett in Onaway. Alice was a lifelong resident of the Onaway area and worked most of her life farming, but also worked as a receptionist and stenographer at Presque Isle Electric and as a seamstress at the Alpena Garment Factory. She loved to play the piano and the organ. Alice also enjoyed crocheting and farming. She will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Frank (8-15-1987); brother, Clayton Baker; and sisters, Stella Baker and Edith Hughes. |
