Dorothy Zoe Wilson, age 73 of Onaway died April 20, 2007 at the Hospice House in Cheboygan. Dorothy was born in Roseville on April 30, 1933 to Henry and Jeanette (Vaene) Vanneck. She moved to the Onaway area shortly after she graduated high school and spent many years writing columns for the Onaway Outlook and tending bar in Tower. On July 1, 1972 she was married to John "Charlie" Wilson in Onaway. Dorothy loved writing, animals, and spending time with her many friends. She considered her friends to be her family after her husband passed away and always put their needs ahead of her own. Dorothy also enjoyed sewing and listening to old country music. She will be greatly missed by her cat, Kallie and her close "family" of friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charlie (1990). |
