Hazel Irene Anderson, age 99 of Ocqueoc, died July 2, 2008 at Golden Beach Manor on Huron Beach.
Hazel was born in Tower on April 1, 1909 to Rudolph and Bertha (Schalk) Repke. On July 3, 1927 she was married to Leo Anderson in Moltke.
In the early 1960's Hazel returned to the community she grew up in after living in Flint where she had worked and retired from AC Sparkplug. After moving back, Hazel owned the Pi-No-La Resort in Ocqueoc. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Choir and The Republican Party. Hazel enjoyed playing the organ, writing songs and poetry. She loved the outdoors and the woods. Hazel was an avid fisherman and hunter.
She will be sadly missed by her sister, Evelyn Middleton of Onaway.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; son, Dallas; 4 sisters; and 4 brothers. |
