Stanley "Stan" F. Bandish, age 50 of Onaway, died July 10, 2008 in Waverly Township, Cheboygan County.
Stan was born in Detroit on September 29, 1957 to Earl and Lillian (Kowalski) Bandish. On March 3, 1984 he was married to Laurie A. Neil at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Onaway.
Stan retired in 2006 from U.S. Steel where he worked as a cook, wheelsman, and deck watch. He currently was working for Mittal Steel as a wheelsman. Stan was a lifelong resident of the Onaway area. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Stan was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, mushrooming, and was an avid fisherman. He also loved to cook and loved people.
Stan will be sadly missed by his wife, Laurie of Onaway; daughters, Rhonda Palen and Courtney Bandish both of Onaway and Megan Bandish of Troy; grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon, and Ian; mother, Lillian Bandish of Onaway; sisters, Earlene Chasse of Cheboygan and Marsha (Ray) Tovar of Onaway; and brothers, Kim, Phil, and Chris (Ann) Bandish all of Onaway. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Bandish. |
