Jean Ellen Gibson, age 70 of Battle Creek died March 3, 2008 at Rogers City Rehabilitation Hospital where she had been recovering from illness.
Jean was born in Los Angeles, California on January 6, 1938. In 1957 she was married to William J. Gibson in Battle Creek.
Jean was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1956. She was on the swim team and participated in speed and synchronized swimming. Jean was employed for 29 years with Federal Life and Casualty Insurance as a medical claims adjuster and a supervisor.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, golfing, bowling, and watching her "stories" (soap operas). Jean also enjoyed having brunch on Sunday mornings and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sons, James Gibson of Onaway and Alan and David Gibson both of Battle Creek; daughter, Pamela Gibson of Battle Creek; 4 grandchildren, Jim, Stefanie, Ashley, and Nikole; great grandson, Owen; and twin sister, Joan Puetz of Battle Creek. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill and mother, Helen (Hulbert) Biddison. |
