Madeline G. Morgan, age 89 of Onaway went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2008. She was born to Simon and Sadie (Hart) Church on December 8, 1918 in Tower, Michigan. On January 27, 1940 she married Angus "Hank" Morgan at the home of Elder Burt. She was a lifelong resident of the area and worked various jobs, including Northern Garment Factory, Russell Memorial Health Center, B & C Restaurant, and Onaway Area Schools. Madeline was a member of the Onaway Baptist Chapel and a member of the Better Acquaintance Club. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family and going on long walks. Madeline is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Chet) Johnston of Onaway; grandsons, Jeff (April) and Rick (Debbie) Bentley both of Onaway; 6 great grandsons; 5 great, great grandchildren; sisters, Margie (Elbert) Hinson and Jenny MacGregor both of Onaway; brothers, Albert (Louise) Church of Saugatuck and Frank (Lou) Church Wyoming; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank on May 27, 1984; sister, Margaret MacGregor; and brothers, James, William, George, and Orville Church. |
