Lois L. Rachuba, age 73 of Millersburg, died July 16, 2008 at Tendercare of Rogers City.
Lois was born in Case Township, Michigan on May 18, 1935 to Louis R. and Gertrude L. (Verbeck) Hoedel. She was a lifelong member of the Millersburg community. Lois worked as a cosmetologist and owned the Doll House in Onaway until her retirement in 2003. She had many hobbies which included gardening and doing yard work. Lois also enjoyed playing cards and going to music concerts.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Brett (Janine) Rachuba of Millersburg and Joel Rachuba of Missouri; daughter, Cheryl (Terry) Palmer of Missouri; grandchildren, Jody Sims, Ashley Rachuba, Chelsey Palmer, Terry and Brittany Palmer, Ashley Renee Rachuba, and Brett Rachuba; great grandchildren, Jessie and Cole Sims, Cheyenne, Terry, and Tori Palmer; step-sons, Byron (Judy) Rachuba of Millersburg, Barry (Marie) Rachuba of Bay City, Tommy (Vicky) Thorold of Caro, and Dean Thorold of Deckerville, step-daughters, Lynne (Larry) Leach of Onaway and Sandy (Howard) Love of Rogers City; companion, John Dennis of Onaway; brother, Ronald (Judy) Hoedel of Millersburg; and sister, Linda (Gordon) Mac Dermaid of Durand. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Gertrude Hoedel; and son, Richard Rachuba. |
