Muriel Jeanette "Sis" Russell, age 84 of Millersburg, died May 29, 2008 at Golden Beach Manor on Huron Beach. Sis was born in Millersburg on April 5, 1924 to Lee and Marion (Clark) Schuler. On March 21, 1942 she was married to George Edward "Ed" Russell at the Schuler Farm in Millersburg. Sis was born and raised in Millersburg. After getting married, Sis and Ed moved to Waterford where they lived for 36 years. In 1979 they returned to Millersburg where they enjoyed their retirement years. Sis was a member of the United Methodist Church in Millersburg. She loved watching her grandchildren, playing games, swimming, crocheting, and solving crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed cooking and was known for her homemade bread and pies. Sis was loved by many and will be sadly missed by her daughters, Mary Lee (David) Sherman and Dawn Riley both of Millersburg; sons, Rodney Russell of Fostoria and William Russell of Millersburg; grandchildren, Barry Wiley, Glen (Melissa), William Jr. (Sarah), Kimberly, Joseph, Randy, and Marc Russell, and Brooke and Hunter Riley; great grandchildren, Khane, Elijah, Kelly, Kaylee, Mackenzie, Sarah, Kolby, Kasey, Edward, and Alex; and sisters, Marilyn (Larry) Riley of Hawks and Yvonne (Don) Baker of Waterford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Russell (1989); sister, Deanna Harroun; brothers, Barry, Lloyd, Bob, and Richard Schuler; and daughter-in-law, Janet Russell. |
