James "Jim" R. Tibbits, of Erwin, Tennessee, formerly of Onaway, died December 7, 2008 at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital in Erwin. Jim was born in Richmond on February 20, 1940 to Lee Harold and Alma Viola (Parlow) Tibbits. On May 13, 1961 he was married to Betty Rae Kutz in Monroe.
