Dorothy E. (Sherman) Tice, age 83 of Millersburg died February 23, 2008 at her home.
Dorothy was born in Onaway on August 12, 1924 to Chauncey and
Marion (Lathrop) Painter. On March 13, 1942 she was married to
Hollis Sherman, Sr. in Onaway.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of the Onaway area. On September 18, 1992 she married Wilber Tice in Alpena. Dorothy was a member of the Eagles and St. Anne's Catholic Church both of Alpena.
She enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, playing the organ, baking,
and spending time with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Hollis (Sue) Sherman, Jr. of Pontiac, Daryl Sherman of Adrian, and Grant Sherman of Kingsley; daughters,
Bonnie (Denny) Klont of Grand Haven, Delaine (Ed) Leach of Millersburg, Darlene Peters of Onaway, and Tammy Sherman of Cheboygan; 25 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.
Preceding Dorothy in death are husband, Hollis Sherman and husband, Wilber Tice; sons, William, Gary, and Sterling Sherman; and brother, Bill Painter. |
