James "Jim" R. Tonkin, age 57 of Auburn Hills, died October 17, 2008 at his home.
Jim was born in Detroit on March 15, 1951 to Leonard D. and Betty J. (VanConant) Tonkin.
Jim lived most of his life in the Detroit area. The last two years he lived in Auburn Hills. Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as a clerk for AT & T in Pontiac. He enjoyed playing on his computer.
Jim will be missed by his sister, Karen Paganini of Onaway; uncle, Ed Tonkin of Onaway; nieces, Connie Brooks and Gail Matthews both of Kingsport, Tennessee; and nephew, Paul Brooks, Jr. also of Kingsport, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly Brooks; and uncle Donald Tonkin. |
