Lane Harding Huffman, age 68 of Onaway, died June 9, 2009 at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital.
Lane was born in Walhalla, North Dakota on October 21, 1940 to Samuel B. and Evelyn (Harding) Huffman. On July 23, 1974 he was married to Kay A. Evans in Flint.
Lane retired from General Motors in 1974 where he worked on the assembly line. In 1989, he moved from Flint to Onaway. Lane enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, woodworking, and shooting pool.
He will be sadly missed by his son, Troy (Kim) Huffman of Flint; daughter, Tammie (Tim) Ashbury of Burton; step-daughter, Cynthia Pinkston of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandson, Jesse Douglas of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Troy, Jr., Angela, and Jonathan Huffman all of Flint; great grandson, Carter Gage Huffman of Flint; brother, Rodney (Karen) Huffman of Walhalla, North Dakota; and sister, Kaye (Denis) Martin of Cavalier, North Dakota.
Lane was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay (June 1, 2009); son, Brent Huffman; and brother, Curtis Huffman. |
