Leonard "Buck" Johnson, age 79 of Onaway/Tower, died April 14, 2009
at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital.
Buck was born in Tower on July 12, 1929 to Edmund and Dorothy (Miller) Johnson. He was a lifelong resident of the Onaway area and was married to Mary LaBelle. Buck was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked at Cheboygan Tap & Tool as a Lathe Operator.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary Johnson of Tower; daughters, Diane (Ed) Helka of Indian River, Denise (Al) Newman of Cheboygan, and Darleen (Bill) Sankovich of Monroe; step-son, Vincent Parker of Vanderbilt;
5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Clyde Johnson of Chattanooga, TN; and sister, Violet (Gary) Middaugh of Farmington Hills.
