James "Jim" H. Lenox, age 75 of Onaway and Owosso, died February 9, 2009 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso.
Jim was born in Ortonville on June 14, 1933. On September 12, 1959 he was married to Alice D. Brady in Grayling. Jim was remarried on March 15, 2008 to Faye Minier Schultz at the Cornerstone Church in Owosso.
He lived most of his life in Onaway. Jim was a volunteer on the Onaway Fire Department and the Onaway Ambulance. He was named Onaway's first constable. Jim worked as the maintenance foreman for the City of Onaway for many years and then went to work at Clear Lake State Park. Jim was a veteran of the Army Air Force serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed working on cars, tinkering with motors and small engines, fixing things,
and hunting.
Jim will be sadly missed by his wife, Faye Schultz-Lenox of Onaway/Owosso; sons, James "Jim" A. Lenox of Onaway, Donald (Chris) Lenox of Iron Mountain, and Robert "Bob" (Cathie) Lenox of Traverse City; daughters, Lonnie Lenox of Onaway, and Shirley Lenox and Charlene McReynolds both of California; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Glenna) Lennox of Millersburg and Richard "Dick" (Irene) Lennox of Lapeer; and sister-in-law, Donna Lennox of Millersburg.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice (May 23, 1998); brother, Delmar Lennox; and mother and step-father, Lucille and Ivan Franklin. |
