Floyd A. Skuse, age 69 of Onaway, died Fegruary 19, 2009 at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey.
Floyd was born in Waverly Township, Onaway on July 2, 1939 to Clifford and Alma (Schnepp) Skuse. He married Betty Skinner Cowles in Onaway.
Floyd was a lifelong resident of Onaway and worked as a heavy equipment operator and a truck driver. He retired in 2001. Floyd enjoyed operating equipment and doing projects with his machines. He was a skilled mechanic andloved fixing things. Floyd was always ready to help family, friends, or neighbors fix something.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty Cowles Skuse of Onaway; daughter, Laurie (Philip) Romanow of Hemlock and Caryl (Brent) Moulton of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Floyd "Butch" (Debra) Skuse of Belleville; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and brother, Larry Skuse of Mason.
Floyd was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Skuse. |
