Douglas M. Hale, Jr., age 37, of Davisburg, died on Thursday February 18, 2010 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc. Doug was born in Clinton Township on March 4, 1972 to Douglas M. and Shirley (Price) Hale. On June 8, 2002 Doug married Denise M. Manasterski in Waterford. Douglas enjoyed his work as a construction foreman and superintendant. Although Doug never lived in Onaway, growing up, he enjoyed visiting and spending summers with his grandparents. As he got older Doug enjoyed going up north to Onaway on weekends and for vacation from work to spend time outdoors and to visit with family. Doug's hobbies included ice fishing, deer hunting, bear hunting, and playing poker. He enjoyed spending time with his children and family. Doug is survived by his wife, Denise M. Hale and children, Felicia, Hannah, and Hayden Hale, all of Davisburg. Also surviving are Doug's parents, Douglas Hale Sr. and Shirley Hale, of Onaway; sister, Lisa and husband, Dennis Maxwell, of Madison Heights; and brother, Mike Hale and wife, Jessica, of Onaway. Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Eric and grandparents, Frank and Frances Hale and Paul and Sylvia Price. Visitation was held in Madison Heights at Hopcroft Funeral Home on Saturday February 20, 2010 from 6 pm - 9 pm and on Sunday February 21, 2010 from 2 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. |
