Gladys Mason, age 87, of Tower, died on February 11, 2010 at Tendercare Health Center of Cheboygan. Gladys was born on March 9, 1922 in Sandusky, Michigan to William James and Charlotte (Marsh) Martin. Gladys was married to Marvin Mason who precedes her in death (2009). Gladys served as the Tower Postmaster for 40 years. She will be sadly missed by her son, Marvin Jr. Mason "Mase" and companion, Terri Burfield; grandchildren, Beth (Brian) Flynn, Edward (Barb) Mason; Lynda (Al) Herrera, and Patrick (Sharla) Mason; and great grandchildren, Sam, Nick, Shelby, Faith, Katie, and Scarlett. Also survivng are many nieces and nephews. Gladys will be especially missed by great nieces, Susie Perkins and Linda Claycomb. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday February 20, 2010 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Onaway. |
