NoraLee Wilton, age 81, of Onaway, died at home on Saturday January 16, 2010. NoraLee was born in Detroit on May 4, 1928. On June 18, 1948 she married Robert Louis Wilton in Detroit, Michigan. For many years NoraLee worked as an information operator for Michigan Bell. She retired in 1978. In 1991 Bob and Nora moved from Grass Lake, Michigan to Bob's boyhood home of Onaway. Family was very important to Nora. She lived for her husband, children, and grandchildren and was a wonderful homemaker and a great cook for them. NoraLee enjoyed music and watching old movies and musicals. She was always ready for a game of cards, especially Pinochle. Nora was very devoted to her Christian faith and attending church was very important to her. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years. NoraLee was a member of the Onaway United Methodist Church and the Onaway VFW 5857 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving NoraLee are her husband of nearly 62 years, Bob Wilton, of Onaway; two daughters, Marilyn (Robert) Hoffman of Parma and Sandra (Michael) Hills of Irish Hills; and son, Robert O. (Valerie) Wilton of Napolean. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Michael, Kelly, Jessica, Christina, Diana, Eric, and Derek and four great grandchildren, Kylie, Taryn, Alexandria, and Gavin. Preceding NoraLee in death are her parents, George "Keefe" and Margaret (Cahill) McAfee. |
