Ray E. Combs, Sr. age 69, of Barnhart Lake (Millersburg) Formerly of Vassar and Wayndotte died Saturday April 17, 2010 at his home.
Ray was born February 22, 1941 in Logan, West Virginia to Roy and Ruth (Scott) Combs. He married Patricia in 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
For over 20 years, Ray had spent time at Barnhart Lake at his vacation home before permanently moving there in 2001 from Vassar, Michigan.
Ray worked as a painter at General Motors for many years before working for Delphi in Saginaw. He also did some residential painting. Ray was a member of the Painters Union.
Ray was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and cooking. Ray was very handy and also enjoyed carpentry.
Surviving Ray in death are sons; Scott and Richlene Combs of Westland, and Ray E. Combs, Jr. and Kim Thomas of Amhurst, Ohio; daughter Claudia and Ron Roberts of Wyandotte; step-sons Tony Golema of Rogers City and Chris and Michelle Golema of Eastpoint and step-daughter Angie Golema of Millersburg. Also surviving are 12 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren brother Harold and Barbara Combs of Cuyahoga, Ohio and sister Joyce and William Rominsky of Wisconsin.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia (2009) daughter Sheila Combs and brother Howard Combs. |
