Robert "Bob" Glen Freeman, age 78, died Friday March 19, 2010 at the Hospice House in Cheboygan. Bob was born on May 31, 1931 to Ralph E. and Iva (Van Norman) Freeman in Onaway. He married Clara Freel on October 9, 1954 in Flint, Michigan.
Bob was born and raised in Onaway. He moved to Milford and worked for 30 years as a metal finisher at the Ford Wixom plant. He served our country as a United States Marine. Although he didn't serve any war time, Bob was a Corporal. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid Tiger's fan and also liked to hunt.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Clara of Onaway, son, John and Joan Freeman of Commerce; daughters, Joann and Peter Grinsell of Commerce and Colleen Oliver of White Lake. Also surviving Bob is his brother Roger Freeman of Tower. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Elizabeth and Eleanor and brother John. Per Bob's wishes, no services will be held. |
