Julia Mae LeCureux of Onaway, age 89, passed away Saturday July 10, 2010 at the Alpena Regional Medical Center in Alpena, Michigan.
She was born on Sunday August 22, 1920 in Muskegon, Michigan to Ernest and Catherine (DeYoung) Prow. On November 13, 1949 she and Louis LeCureux were united in marriage in Ohio. She was a lifelong resident of the Onaway area. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Onaway for many years.
Julia enjoyed crocheting, baking, playing games, especially cards, and spending time with her friends and family.
Surviving Julia in death are her children Ernest and Bonnie Benham, Jerald and Sally Benham, Ronald and Jean Benham, Edmond and Paula LeCureux, Larry and Karen LeCureux, Bruce and Sarah LeCureux and daughter Lois and Bill Lindemulder. Also surviving are 22 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and sister Marcella and Lawrence Lamberson.
Julia is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and several siblings. |
