Charles Alan Light, age 68, of Alpena, formerly of Onaway, died at home on Thursday August 19, 2010. Charles was born in Onaway on January 19, 1942, the son of Charles Frederick and Geneva Vey (Steele) Light.
Charles worked as a tool and die maker in Warren, Michigan. He retired in 2004. He was a talented musician, a skilled firearms engraver, and an animal lover. Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, going for rides in the woods, and going to the restaurant for coffee with the guys.
Charles is survived by three children, Sgt. Edwin Light of Grand Ledge, Jeanie (Clay) Stevens of Onaway, and Amy (David) Hilliker also of Onaway; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and sister, Gloria Alman of Coos Bay, Oregon.
Preceding Charles in death are his father, Charles F. Light; his mother, Geneva V. Martin; and his step-father, Gordon "Les" Martin. |
