Ruth H. Perkins, 79, lifelong resident of Onaway, died May 19, 2010 at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. Ruth was born on June 11, 1930 in Evart, the daughter of Lyle and Evelyn (Peterson) Lamberson. On November 19, 1949, Ruth and Richard "Dick" Perkins were married in Onaway.
Ruth's favorite pastime was fishing and smoking fish. Many friends, family, and people she didn't even know, from all over the state, enjoyed her smoked salmon. Ruth also enjoyed deer hunting and gardening.
Ruth is survived by two brothers, Arnold (Bonnie) Lamberson and Lawrence (Marcella) Lamberson, both of Onaway; one sister, Joan (David) Dolezel of Troy; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Azel Caldwell and Jay Minier, both of Onaway.
Preceding Ruth in death are her husband, Richard "Dick" in 1984; sisters, Lila Crawford and Alice Luther; and brother, Harold "Tiner" Lamberson. |
